In todays world, it seems we all want to become someone else. But shouldn’t the goal be to become yourself … and more of yourself?
The cult of the other?
Thought and theory:
In America, you’re only prized insofar much as how much you become like someone else.
For example, how much you can emulate Jesus or other successful people in the past. Even in Buddhism, the goal is to become more like Buddha. But why no thoughts or concepts saying:
Thou shalt become yourself, not nobody else!
