Why do you photograph and make photos?

I cannot speak for you, but for myself, I make photos for many reasons:

1. Artistic self-expression

My photography is my primary art work.

2. Augmented living

When I photograph my everyday life, it is like ‘augmented living’ which means:

I discover more beauty, joy, and depth in the smallest mundane details of everyday life.

In other words, photography adds *MORE* joy to my everyday life. Isn’t this the ultimate tool?

3. Fun and challenge

For me the upside and joy of photography is the challenge and fun I get from it. For example even photography composition is a game:

Given the constraints of a given scene and of my focal length (like a 28mm lens), how can I make the most interesting photograph of this given scene?
