Human photography essay

How to differentiate yourself as a photographer

There are a trillion photographers out there. How do you make a name for yourself and differentiate yourself from the billion of other photographers out there?

Some ideas:

First idea: integrate and “cross pollinate” your outside interests (besides just photography). Body building, powerlifting, sociology, your love of politics, whatever.

Second idea: disconnect from others. Creative isolation is necessary to create your distinct style and approach and not to simply ape others.

Third idea: don’t bore yourself. If you keep yourself entertained, you’re doing something right!
