Or why the sociologist is the most keen marketer:

1. Understanding what people really want

People want class, prestige, a pathos of distance, distinction and to distinguish themselves from others.

2. Social proof

Lord Agammenon is apparently superior to Achilles because Agammenon lords and rules over more men. Thus to have a large following is “social proof” of your own personal social power and leverage in society.

3. The movement of people

What is the economy of economics? Simple: the movement of humans, the movement of human flesh to acquire more tools, resources, animals, food, and things.
