The reason why I’m so fascinated with economics and money:
What is money … really?

If we assume that money sets the whole world in motion, what does this mean towards humanity?
What is money?
Money is a technological tool and a weighing thing. For example to weigh something is natural to the human psyche (Nietzsche). Once upon a time we weighed one piece of gold against another piece fo gold to see what was worth ‘more’. Similarly speaking, we weigh men against one another. If a man was taller, more muscular than the other man … we would see the more muscular and more tall man as superior.
Why does money matter?
Money is important. I do not desire to live in a society with no money. Money makes life soooo much easier for me. For example:
I can hand over a person a $20 Andrew Jackson bill piece of paper, and in return, receive 20 pounds of (delicious and fatty) pork!
Isn’t this magic?
How people are unintelligent
So a lot of these idealists have the wrong notion. They think:
Oh, if we just get rid of these ‘evil’ human desires like lust for money and power and blah blah blah, suddenly the world would become this great utopia.
Very bad line of thinking. Money keeps us humans decent. Money helps us facilitate trade. Money is proof of what we truly care for.
