My thought:
I believe if countries and individuals were ‘allowed’ or tolerated to be more nationalistic … then perhaps we would be less racist.

America is American
If you were born in America, or immigrated here whatever … you are an American. I see American even as more of an attitude than anything. Perhaps even the guy who doesn’t have an American citizenship or green card (who lives overseas) can be an American.
Why does a government want propaganda?
Contrary to these conspiracy theories, I don’t think the American government wants to wage racial warfare for the sake of it. No. More simply put:
The American Government wants to quell organizations in America which are militant, incite fear, and cause people to distrust the American Government.
