In Praise of Hoarding
Or how minimalism is bad. Or don’t be too quick to give away your stuff or lend it out. Or towards an anti “Marie Kando” approach:
Ignore the morals and ethics of hoarding
In modern American society, to hoard is seen as a disease. Minimalism is just another form of consumerism. For example we get rid of all our shit, just so we have a good conscience to buy new stuff … but under the pretense that I will be a more virtuous and “less wasteful person”, and that “having a few things of high quality” is superior than having lots of stuff with poor quality.
But now that COVID has hit us … it seems all the “hoarders” are probably the best off!
