To be pure means to NOT allow others to superimpose their artistic tastes upon yours. No. It means having the audacity to have extreme faith in your own artistic vision.

Love the old

When I look at my really old photos (2009,when I really started to take my photography more seriously) I can see a pureness, a genuine vision. Not yet corrupted by insecure other artists who try to make me feel small.

Don’t go to art school

The danger of art school, photo school, whatever is this:

Losing your artistic purity; your child like vision.

Shooting for yourself

If you desire to make photos that have a higher likelihood of lasting, shoot photos to genuinely please yourself.
