ERIC KIM Practical Productivity Hacks

Practical things:

1. Use different browsers for different things

I typically use Safari for my blogging and creative work. For email newsletters I use Firefox Mozilla. For other work, I use Chrome.

For any other random stuff I wanna block, use Brave Browser.

2. Adblockers on!

All adblockers. Download all them you can– for general browsing, ‘Ghosterly’ for anti-tracking, and Adblock Ultimate for any other annoying ads. Adblock for YouTube as well.

3. MacOS File management

I keep my ‘Downloads’ folder like my cache. Which means:

Whenever I have files I am working on, I keep it in my Downloads folder.

By the end of the day, I try to clear out my Downloads folder.

4. Just do it.

I used to strive for 80% good enough, now I don’t strive for good at all. I just strive towards fun, interest, and personal engagement in whatever I am doing.

5. STANDING DESK

Do all your computing while standing. You will gain more energy to your work.

6. Workout as a break

Also in-between rest breaks from work, lift some weights. Muscle is the ultimate life-hack for creative and artistic productivity.
