WHEN STUDYING THE WORD ‘DANGER‘, I came across the notion of ‘damage’ [damnum in Latin]. The basic notion of danger is this:

We are afraid of getting damaged or killed.

Related is a word ‘demh‘, which means to tame, domesticate.

So what if we could TAME danger, and transform danger into our little hunting-pet, just how we have domesticated wolves and turned them into hunting dogs? Or perhaps how we tamed eagles and turned them into our hunting mates?
