PERSONAL POWER

The best power? Not power over others– but power over yourself. To control yourself, and to exploit yourself and your inner-powers to the maximum.

What is holding you back?

“The only one who can stop me is me.” – JAY Z

Distractions seem to be the enemy holding us back. “Entertainment” as things which become a snare for you — things that ensnare your attention.

There is currently a war for your eyeballs and your ears. Distractions abound — because the more things grab your attention, the more advertising dollars they can earn.

Now the problem is this — if these distractions are holding you back, they are bad. For example, if your desire is to create, write, photograph, make videos, etc, but you’re being trapped and ensnared by TV shows, video games, or any other forms of entertainment — these distractions are bad.

Not all distractions are bad, but when the distractions sap away your energy from pursuing your epic life task, distractions are bad.

Proposition 1: Entertainment and distractions are holding us back.

However, what is one man’s “entertainment” isn’t another man’s “entertainment”.

Also, don’t let others dictate their morals unto you. For example, I’ve been studying comic books and manga, and have found HUGE new sources of visual arts inspiration for my photography and art production. But another might see my studying as frivolous. Or often I will watch cinema for artistic insights, but others might see it as “pointless” entertainment.

Entertainment is anything which ensnares you AWAY from your epic life plans and goals.

Also, be very suspicious of any entertainment which is sponsored by advertising.

Running out of energy or power

Lately this is what I’ve been feeling:

When I end the day, I feel accomplished what I did, but I still wish I had more energy to do more.

It isn’t a matter of hours in a day — it is a matter of my energy throughout the day. I wish I were able to become stronger, and to gain MORE inner-resources of power. I want to increase my power capability and capacity — like having the ability to increase my “one rep max” in my lifts. I want to have more physical or physiological power for my creative work and endeavors.
