Secrets and Keys to Happiness

I’m insanely happy right now. Let me share how and why:

1. The physiology of happiness

First of all, I think “happiness”is more of a physiological (of the body) condition than a “mental”one. Why? Your mind reflects how healthy your body is. So when you think of your “mental well-being”, you should be thinking of your physical and physiological well-being.

For example:

  1. The extreme enthusiasm you get after completing a new “PR”(one rep max) in deadlift or any lift.
  2. The physical well-being of standing and walking around all day.
  3. The joy of sunshine and variety and variation in your physical environment.

2. Variation

It’s impossible to live a great life without variety, chaos, and uncertainty.

Furthermore, suffering (in small doses) is good for us. It strengthens, invigorates us, and if we’re strong enough — suffering acts as a stimulus and tonic to us.

3. No belief in (conscious) afterlife

The Ancient Greeks and Romans saw hope as a vice. Why? It’s a “stick and carrot”, which prevents you from dealing with embodied reality and the here and now.

Craft your own personal happiness now — today!

4. Do external things, money, etc contribute to our happiness?

I am currently at apex happiness and I’ll tell you what I got and what I don’t got:

  1. No car
  2. No debt
  3. No worries
  4. No traditional 9-5 job
  5. No social media to fuck up my self-esteem
  6. No toxic people in my life

What I got:

  1. Freedom over my time, schedule, life (extreme happiness from being self-employed).
  2. Low cost of living: I’ll never run out of money.
  3. Creative and purposeful work: Blogging, photography, video, art.
  4. Access to a gym where I can deadlift, squat, dumbell press, etc. I genuinely believe for peak and apex happiness, you must have access to a gym or place where you can lift heavy shit, or do vigorous physical activity.

5. Desire to live to be 140 years old

One of my personal ambitions in life:

Live to be 140 years old in peak health, similar to Art de Vany (he’s ripped in his 80s).

I do this by:

  1. Not driving a motorcycle or bicycle (no death by car accident)
  2. Not owning a car (I won’t die on public transit)
  3. Intermittent fasting: No breakfast or lunch, only dinner. Will allow my body to engage in healthy “autophagy”in which my body will self-eat and destroy pre-cancerous cells.
  4. No sugar, no high fructose corn syrup, no starch, no snacks, no dessert: No chance of me getting heart disease.
  5. To walk around all day, constantly stay curious. No listening to headphones while walking or crossing the street.

Of course we cannot live forever, but don’t you desire to live the longest possible life? Do you love life enough to desire this type of life?
