The Soul is the Body

The wrong bias— thinking that our soul (mental) is superior and more important than our body. My belief: the soul is the body.

This means we don’t have an immortal soul. When our body dies, we/our soul dies too.

What does this mean?

  1. Put more faith in the body than the mind: We often think the soul is the mind, but if we think the soul is the body, we need to prioritize our bodily health, strength, and vigor above everything else.
  2. A new understanding of the soul: We want to become great souled. Perhaps to become great souled means to have a great body (physically impressive with strength), and great mind. Too much of the history of philosophy has deprecated the body— but what if the body is the ultimate source of our wisdom?
  3. More bodybuilding, weight lifting, and powerlifting to make the body more impressive. A physically strong body will lead to a mentally strong mind.
