Gratitude

Generally speaking, we are all grateful of being alive. But to what degree are we grateful of being alive?

Some of us are mildly grateful of being alive, but I think our gratitude towards life and being alive is demonstrated by how we act, talk, and think.

For myself, I believe the individual who has deep gratitude of being alive (highest degree) is the most creatively productive. The individual with uber gratitude towards life extracts the maximum from their own life, in order to create art works, writings, videos, or any other form of media or information to express their gratitude towards life.

What do you desire to express through your photos?

I think this is perhaps also related to why we shoot street photography:

We desire to express our gratitude for being alive and a part of society (love towards strangers) that we photograph others!

Furthermore, the motive of the photographer:

The degree to which photographers photograph reality is dependent on how much gratitude they have towards being alive, and the degree of gratitude towards their loved ones who they photograph.

For example, I feel deep gratitude for having Cindy in my life as my soulmate. Thus my Cindyproject is a reflection of my deep gratitude for Cindy’s existence, and my own personal existence being with her.

So perhaps to be a more productive photographer, reflect:

How deeply am I grateful towards being alive, and how can I use my camera to reflect my gratitude towards being alive, and towards life herself?

Photograph your own happiness!
