HAPTICLABS Kyoto Visual Diary I

New things brewing in the KYOTO HAPTICLABS Office:

As mentioned in Saigon diary IV, Cindy and I are living in Kyoto for a month.

The first 10 days, is an HAPTICLABS internship with our two sisters, Annette Kim and Jennifer Nguyen.

We are cooking up a new book, titled “CREATIVE EVERYDAY”— a manual to help you overcome any artistic block you might have. It is unique because it encompasses writing, drawing, and photography.

Annette Kim is working on a drawing section, as she went to art school for a year at OTIS, then dropped out. She’s currently returning to her own personal “creative everyday.”

Jennifer Nguyen is a master editor, and currently is learning Adobe Indesign to format and edit the book.

Cindy is the mastermind. And I’m the hype man.

Why?

We booked an Airbnb, and we are using it for our office. Unlimited food, good coffee, and fast WiFi.

It cost us a lot of money to fly them both over, but what better investment to make… than to first empower your own family?

They’re also both talented. And our sisters are inspiring us to be more creative… like playing around with Jennifer’s Oneplus 5 Phone to make photos.

It is also for me, just a chance to spend time with my family. Rather than travel and do touristy stuff, it is more fun to just work on these projects together.
