Don’t have any regrets in your photography or life. Look at the present. Look at the future.

Don’t look back.

We often get trapped by our past work. We feel like we need to be “consistent”, so we keep doing the same thing, over and over again. We soon get bored. Our creative muscles atrophy. We lose passion, enthusiasm, and that child-like state of wonder.

Don’t look back.

Re-invent yourself. Try something new. Try out a different approach, use a different camera, or pursue a different photo project. Have a different focus.

Imagine yourself being born new everyday. How would you approach each day differently?

Don’t let the weight of past regrets or successes trap you. The only thing that exists is the present moment, and possibly the future.

Live everyday and shoot everyday like today were your last day. Imagine like your past didn’t exist — would this liberate you?
