Which photos are really important to you — and why do you decide to shoot them?
Never take photos according to what others think might be interesting. Only follow your own gut. Photograph what is personally-meaningful to you, and photos that are important to you.
What I see is a lack of photographers with soul in their photos. They don’t put themselves into their photos.

I also don’t believe there are “good” or “bad” photos — I only believe there are personal and impersonal photos.
Personal photos are important to you. You are the only one who can take these photos. And that is what makes it unique, genuine, and meaningful.

Whenever you photograph whatever is important to you, that same emotion is transferred to the viewer.
So let us all try to stop photographing for the sake of others; and truly photograph for ourselves.
Keep it personal,
Eric
