Money for meat. Also, for your home, new constructions, hygiene, and maximum sunlight. Floor to ceiling windows.

Also for your life, maximum time outside.

Also, prioritizing sleep over your “productivity” or work.

  • Your body is your canvas and sculpture

  • Always strive to make the best out of a shitty situation

  • Never stay married to only one school of thought.

  • Always prioritize your body

  • Ugly or beautiful?

At the end of the day, race doesn’t matter; which matters at the end of the day is whether you are beautiful or ugly

  • The body is the ultimate luxury?

Simply the privilege of going outside and getting natural light?

  • HOW TO FEEL MORE POWERFUL

Living in a home, perhaps some sort of high-rise, which allows in maximum amount of natural light. For myself, more exposure to natural light makes me feel more powerful.

Therefore step one, spend the big bucks to live in some sort of luxury condominium or high-rise which allows in maximum amount of light. My theory; maybe this could be a wise financial investment, as it will motivate you more to pursue more entrepreneurial endeavors, also maximizing your income potential.

Second, greater meat consumption. The more meat, steak, beef neckbones, beef ribs, the more cholesterol you consume the better. Perhaps the reason why there is so much modern-day malaise and depression in America is because people are simply under nourished, because they are not consuming enough meat; instead, too much consumption of this anemic “vegetarian“ or “plant-based“, or vegan diet. Also too high consumption of alcohol. Question; have you ever met a vegetarian or vegan who doesn’t drink alcohol?

  • Do you want to be part of the majority or minority?

The majority of Americans are over fat. The minority have low body fat percentage is, a six pack, and high muscle mass.

The majority of people drive a Toyota Corolla, the minority drives a Lamborghini.

The majority of people work a boring 9-to-5 job, the minority or self-employed or entrepreneurs.

With racial matters, in America, the majority of people are Caucasian, and the minority are others. Census — 75% are “white” (Caucasian), 13% are African American “black”, 19% “Hispanic” or Latino, and only 6% Asian/Asian-American.

The contradiction is this; in someways, people want to fit in and not stick out. Yet, people also want to be seen as greater, or more exceptional, and stand out. In America at least, everyone wants to be rich and famous, yet it is only the minority of people who are rich and famous.

    Takeaway point —

Better to stick out, be exceptional, and make people feel uncomfortable, than stick in.

  • Do you want to stand out or fit in?

Another funny contradiction in America; everyone wants to be treated “equally” and “fit in”, yet isn’t the Apex thing to stand out?

  • Race in America?

Some thoughts; what is it that people in America want? And what gets in their way?

Example, I cannot really speak for other races, as I am Korean American, but at least, it does seem that in America, my general observation is that Americans, Asian Americans themselves included, consider Asian men as more quiet, reserved, incapable of being masculine, aggressive, and staunch. Or having poor “genetics” for physical strength, athletic ability, power etc.

I think first in America — everyone wants to be treated with respect. Doesn’t matter your race or ethnicity.

The nuanced question — do you want to be treated “equally”? No. We want to be treated superior compared with others. Or certainly not to be treated inferior to others.

I think the simple skinny of things is when it comes down to it, just don’t let anybody fuck with you.

  • NEVER LET ANYONE PUNCH YOU DOWN.

Naoko Shibusawa says this well — the “punchability” of the Asian Man (via Mark Sanchez).

    Essentially the gist is this; it seems in America, people are not as afraid to confront Asian guys, and tell them off or “punch them down”. For example, a fun story at the local gym;

I just completed doing an atlas lift of eight plates, and some random guy, skinny dude with a beard comes up to me and says in a denigrating tone — “Not to sound like a dick, but you’re ruining the equipment. These bars cost at least $1100. This is not the right type of gym for you to lift like that.”

The other day I actually got kicked out of another gym for lifting too heavy as well, and my first initial reaction was I thought the sky was a staff member, so I quickly apologized and said I would re rack the weights.

Upon further reflection, I realized that the guy was not a worker nor staff nor owner — just a random guy working out. Thus my thoughts —

    1. Even if I was ruining the equipment, which I was not, why would this bother him or matter to him? There are at least 20 bars at the gym.
    2. I am actually not certain why this guy approached me, and told me to stop lifting like that, or that I was not lifting in the type of manner which was “correct” to him.

What I think I should have done was pause for a second, stare at him, and not react immediately, and also a big thing; not apologize immediately.

Truth be told, I have always been a pacifist, I don’t like to stir trouble. Yet, purely from an ethics perspective, I feel like I no longer have bandwidth for bullshit. Perhaps instead, it is a good idea to push the boundaries, and make a ruckus out of things, and maybe even get kicked out. Or just tell the guy to fuck off and that indeed, he was acting like a dick.

  • Sacrifice means “Sacred”

  • iPhone camera is too slow to quick draw

When comparing the iPhone camera and a standalone digital camera, like a Ricoh GR IIIx, is a lesson in pragmatics; iPhone, with annoying touchscreen, and lock screen gets in your way and slows you down

  • Think beyond bubbles

  • I will never allow anyone to punch me down anymore.

  • Spartan Lifestyle

  • Once you’ve got all the power, then what?

  • JUST TREAT OTHERS LIKE THEY’RE SICK

  • College is Boring

  • Things to do while on the road

Walk around, explore, make photos, and also get day or week passes at the local gym, and lift heavy weights.

Also, find the closest local all you can eat Korean barbecue or all you can eat shabu shabu place, and go HAM (hard as a motherfucker).

Also while on the road, blog, vlog and write and share and publish your thoughts and experiences.

  • College is not good for the ambitious

Just walking around Penn State, Penn State campus, and the downtown area; even though it is well developed, and there are some cute stores, for the most part,  you feel trapped. Much more interesting to be a world globe trotter, photographer Vlogger, or media producer.

Good places to explore to include Vietnam (Saigon, Hanoi), Cambodia (Phnom Penh).

For example, I found college to be a very formative experience, especially being a first generation Korean-American going to college in the states. I think my UCLA undergraduate was a great experience, but ultimately, around my junior and senior year, I was itching to get out, and explore the world.

  • iPhone photos lack a visual “oomph”

  • CONQUER THE WORLD VIA PHOTOGRAPHY?

In today’s world, military stuff aside, there is no real way to “conquer“ the world. However, my thought is that we can metaphorically conquer the world through photography. Every time you photograph a certain place or environment, you capture it, and in some ways, conquer it.

For successful billionaires who don’t know what to do with her life anymore, simply traveling the world and making photos is a good conquest.

Ideally the city. Street photography and beyond.
