Hadong (하동) Morning Routine: SILICON VALLEY FARMER LIFESTYLE GOPRO POV ERIC KIM

Words, ideas– the font is insanely important.

The font imputes a certain feeling, mood, idea.

Have pride in what you do, and what you pay for.

In the past, to have to plow your own fields was hateful toil. In today’s Silicon Valley world, it is the new luxury; the enjoyable cause-and-effect of moving and shoveling dirt, and using a hoe to attack hard ground.

I only like and favor things which I have purchased with my own money.

If you do something but don’t see the feedback, is it still meaningful?

Yes. For example, I know I have about 10,000 subscribers to my email newsletter, and whenever I send an email newsletter, I am 100% certain that at least one person will read it. I do not need to check my open rates, or view rates.

Towards the BTS ideal — hybrid of both of the masculine AND the feminine. Red lipstick, and a black leather jacket? And a KPOP hairstyle?

Clothes from H&M or ZARA.

Why? If you’re going to look at it all day, every day.

LA FASHION

Why LA is the best place for fashion; the weather makes it easy to either wear very little clothes, or lots of clothes.

For example, you can always wear a tank top and shorts in LA. Also, you can also wear a hoodie or sweater or a jacket in LA.

The other day adventuring Hadong in Korea, I realized that my iPhone SE was dead (forgot to charge it the prior night), so I just took my GoPro Hero 10 and the RICOH GR IIIX, and had insane fun!

Why GoPro?

First of all, just shooting the solo ‘Super Photo’ mode, in ultra-wide, I find it more fun and satisfying than just shooting with an iPhone.

Why GoPro over iPhone?

A simple thought:

With an GoPro, you cannot immediately share it, thus, you are more focused in the moment.

I find that iPhone is insanely good and easy and streamlined (you just shoot the photos, and video, and immediately send it), but the downside of this:

Less focused on enjoying the moment.

Then it seems the upside of a GoPro is the delayed satisfaction — the excitement of going home, and looking at your photos and videos again later, and using that opportunity to digest your thoughts, experiences.

For example the other day we took a day trip in Hadong, and went to see the green tea fields. The color rendition of the ‘super photo’ in-camera processing of the GoPro is quite stunning–very rich and juicy colors.

It is insanely wide

It seems the GoPro hero is even *wider* than the iPhone Pro in ultra-wide mode:

I love Hadong, Korea!

The desire to exercise.

In other words, battery life is overrated.

Instead, faster recharge times is more important.

Pleasure only is felt within your body, not externally.

Not a SUV.

Also eggs.

Traveling from the French means to “labor, to toil”— hateful labor.

The French notion of “voyageur”— the more precise notion of being a “traveler”.

In terms of what to conquer, not physical places on the ground, but rather the internet — the ethereal cloud!
