If we were very very smart, we would actually design offices more like outdoor spaces. Free and full of air, and instead of air conditioning, lots of powerful fans. Maximum sunlight and fresh air.

I hate hippies.
Especially the modern day ones.

Profits for the sake of what?
Profits for the sake of greater innovation.
-
Pain as the stimulus for growth.
Pain is growth?
To become more, you must also experience greater pain
-
SPACE OWNERSHIP
The ideal or the appeal of a Tesla or a car; you own the space inside.

Freedom is the highest human good
Anything which augments your freedom is good, anything which decreases your freedom is bad.
Even having the freedom to go outside. The freedom to walk outdoors.
For me, my worst nightmare is a stay at home order, where legally I am not allowed to leave my home.
Let us not be fooled— the highest good is not wealth, riches, luxury, happiness, etc. It is freedom. Better to be miserable and free, than happy and enslaved.
First step in life: no longer need to work a 9-5 job.

They should have named the Apple Watch ultra as Apple Watch “Titanâ€
Especially considering that the Apple Watch ultra is made out of titanium. “Ultra†is too boring of a concept. The notion of “Titan†is better marketing language. Titan as titanium, and also Titan like the ancient Greek gods.

Without the promise of the new, life is not worth living.
For example, if you were doomed to live in a mall for the rest your life, but the things or the products would never change, certainly you would go crazy.

THINK REALLY BIG

Think global.

SELF COMBAT
The other day when doing very very heavy squats, a one rep max attempt;
Thinking, this is simply like self combat; I am trying to attack the bar, attack the iron. A combat with gravity.
Thinking of life as combat training?

COURAGE TO PULL THROUGH
I’m still fascinated by myself:

Perhaps the greatest benefit of powerlifting, one rep max, hypelifting is self testing whether you have the courage to pull through or not.

A SINGLE GREAT MOMENT
I still haven’t got over the fact that I deadlifted 551 pounds. About 3.4 times my body weight.
DEADLIFT PR

BORING OR INTERESTING?
Only pursue that which interests you.

INSANE DURABILITY
In praise of synthetic fibers.

ANTI LENS COVER
Seneca accidentally threw my RICOH GR IIIX the other day, and the two automatic lens covering protector things fell out. I suppose you don’t need this element:

Then the thought: perhaps RICOH and other camera manufacturers should get rid of this element. It always breaks anyways in the long run.

YOU GOTTA KEEP IT MOVING.
YOU GOTTA KEEP IT MOVING VLOG ERIC KIM VIDEO PODCAST
I desire to move more bits and bytes!
Our supreme goal:
-
Personal answer seeking
What drives us in philosophy? Seeking answers for ourself. And then sharing those answers with others.
-
NOMADIC DURATION?
How long should you live in one place?
Assuming that you want to maximize growth and your personal innovation, I think a semi nomadic existence is best. I would recommend trying to spend at least two years in one spot, before moving on. If you have the option.
-
STRONG OR WEAK?
There is no in-between.
-
What does it mean to be a monk?
To shed away all superfluous things, in order to accelerate your personal advancement. Asceticism as training.

You Can Find Beauty in the Smallest Things
The skill and visual acuity of the photographer.

Perhaps you are productive in proportion to how *little* time you spend on your phone
If you want to become more productive, don’t get an iPhone Pro, and even best to not own a phone at all.

Even if you had all of the gold in the world, you cannot trade it for health.
Without health, all of the gold in the world is for naught.

DOES IT REQUIRE COURAGE OR NOT?
Danger is good. Leaving your house is dangerous! Staying home or playing video games— no danger.
No risk, no danger, no interest.
Perhaps the risk of personal injury is actually a good thing; it forces us to focus and not fuck around.
The riskier, the better.
