I still remember back in the day, when I was working for my old job, technically a tech media store, I really desired this fantasy of working from home. Why? I didn’t like always being monitored, and also, I didn’t like how I could set my own schedule. my general thought was also that if I worked from home, I could do the minimum amount of work possible and not get fired, and on top of that, build my own Empire and side hustle on the side.
However, it seems that ultimately to always work from home, or to permanently be working from home is a very bad idea why? You never leave your house! People who spend too much time in doors, become pale sickly, over fat, weak and fat anemic looking. Not good.
My simple proposal is simple: make working from the office an option, not a mandatory thing. Also, permit people to work remotely if it means working from the gym, working at the park, working while on a hike etc. Also I think it is a good idea we get rid of zoom calls, video conferencing, video messages. Everything should be asynchronous.
