Why do people foolishly reduce their leverages?

For example, in fitness and exercise, we are indoctrinated to do this “full range of motion“, in order to make it “more difficult”, or “harder”. But maybe this is not a good idea. This is what leads to injury?

I say this instead:

Reduce the range of motion to the minimum, and increase the weight and resistance instead.

No reps. Only one— one rep max.
