Ideal Clothing

A question on my mind: what is the ideal clothing, or ideal clothes? What do we want from our clothes?

1. Minimally obtrusive

The first thought is that the best clothes are the ones which are minimally obtrusive. The clothes which least get in your way.

For example, being able to use the bathroom while holding Seneca with one arm. Pants without buttons or belt buckles, ideally some sort of elastic waist band, so I don’t have to deal with the issue of having to unbutton, unzip, rezipped, re-button, and put on my belt, when I am solo taking care of Seneca.

2. The ultimate stretch, the ultimate flexibility

In praise of the Uniqlo ultra stretch athletic shorts, as most of the time with Seneca, I’m either crouching, sitting, or stretching.

3. Clothes you could run around and play in, without concern about it getting dirty.

The reason why white clothing is so bad is that it makes you more fearful, and more risk averse. You’re less likely to run around the mud, because you’re afraid that you’re all white clothing will get dirty. This is why I hate white shoes, as your less prone to walk in the dirt or dust, with concern of your shoes getting dirty. This is why I now only wear all black clothing, and all black shoes.

4. Clothing and shoes which do not restrict your movement

The reason why I love minimalist shoes, Vibram five fingers, etc. is that having the most minimal shoe possible means that I could walk around maximally, without fatigue or foot pain, or exhaustion.

This means I could walk further, while holding Seneca, explore more photograph more and do more.

5. The ideal clothes are no clothes

The spartan 300, king Leonidas ideal. No shirt, no pants, just minimal sandals, a red cape, and a bronze helmet.

For myself personally whenever the weather is good, I try to walk outdoors as much as humanly possible without a shirt on, be barefoot, and just wear short shorts. My theory is that I gain more power as I could absorb more light and sunlight from the sun. The UV gives me power. Also I never wear sunblock, and also I prefer to either gel or wax my hair instead of wearing a hat. And as I wear glasses, I never wear sunglasses.
