So one metaphorically and Phyllis Hochul thought that I find fascinating is the values of bitcoin. Typically it has to do with sovereignty, freedom, economic prosperity. This is what everybody wants?
Bitcoin as digital gold
So one thought is bitcoin is digital gold. And so when you see the price of gold going up, it is a very very good sign… It seems that bitcoin has a bit of turbo lag? That means, as a price of stocks and typical securities goes down, what that means is soon, the price of bitcoin will also follow.
I think also, it is important to think that we are still in the early days. Like do you remember when you were a 12-year-old kid, and you first got access to AOL, and you knew that this was the future? Same thing with bitcoin.
what’s the difference?
I suppose the difference when we were just kids, versus now, main difference is that we got money now!
Do you remember when you were a 12-year-old kid, and you wanted money in order to get XYZ… Now you can!
The new tariff war
So very very shocking, although not unexpected, the new insane tariffs for China Vietnam, and they also Cambodia?
What this means is that, the price of everything might go up like at least 20 to 30%. Since Apple is smart, the price of the iPhone will probably remain about the same, because Apple already has good profit margins built into the pricing. Yet I will not be surprised when we start to see the new iPhone Pro max start to slowly inch up in starting price — I will not be shocked when you see the iPhone Pro Titan being like $2000.
Anyways, what that means that it is for the most part, big tech is dead. No more safety in your Apple stock, because if the profit margins on Apple products are no longer good because of insane tariffs from China, that means that your beloved Apple devices will become much more expensive for you.
freedom is not low prices
So what is also interesting is that what this means and is the price of everything in terms of consumer electronic products will go up. Also maybe the price of your Lululemon clothes which are produced in Vietnam. And your Nike sneakers?
so what should we do about this?
Don’t put your trust in consumer goods, put your trust in bitcoin!
