Some strange inconsistencies here; first, when people talk to you… Are they seeking empathy or sympathy or for you to “listen “,†hear them out… Or, are they asking you for a solution?
Also… Is there a hormonal, man or woman element to this?

Weak Men, Strong Men
Based on my observations… Of strong men versus weak men.
I’m not 100% sure the genesis of weak men… But based on my general observations, a lot of men who are weak, super skinny skinny fat and feeble… generally come from homes which are troublesome; for example, having a violent and physically abusive father who beat your mom in front of you, and you were helpless and powerless to do anything about it.
Or, kind of the fatalism that I see a lot from people from Eastern Europe, the former Soviet block, in which for them… All is doom and gloom, irregardless of how good things are?
Also, a lot of this fatalism is draining. They just like to bitch and moan about how terrible everything is, and even when you show them real proof of how good things are… They refused to accept it, and they just want to keep on complaining and bitching and moaning about everything the whole planet, global warming, how there will no longer be a society elect for the next generation, while they have zero plans of actually having kids.
My very very simple solution is keep away from them;
Aggie example… Let us see that you knew with 100% certainty that a certain person had Covid, or the flu… Would you go up to them, face-to-face, and let them talk at you for an hour, no face mask on, and as they are spitting their Covid germs and their flu germs at you… Certainly you’re going to get infected, whether you like it or not.
And then let’s say a few days later, or a week later you start to feel Covid symptoms, or flu symptoms… Aren’t you going to be kicking yourself in the butt, knowing that you should have known better?
So my simple stoic thought is simple — some people who are sick and disease… You don’t hate them or spite them for being sick or disease… But you just stay away.
People are sick, infected, disease germ ridden, or infectious in different ways, metaphorically literally, their soul, their personality… Even talking to them on the phone, FaceTiming them, or text messaging them or emailing them can spread infection.

What would the physique of Achilles look like?
King Leonidas
Perhaps thinking about king Leonidas and Sparta is interesting because their code of law was not democracy, but rather, a nation state led by a virtuous king.
The Athenians, ancient Athenians believed in democracy, which literally meant rule by the people.
If you think about a perfect democracy, every vote is equal to one vote, and a leader or president or somebody is leader via the popular vote.
For example, let us see America was pure democracy — and let us assume that irregardless of state or whatever electoral college… One vote was equal to one vote. And literally, in order to win, and become president, it was simple… Who gets the majority of votes?
And let us assume that voting was 100% fraud proof, and no no no the election was not rigged. In fact even if it was rigged, I think the better way to navigate and operate and think is assumed that the election was 100% accurate.
Anyways, this is where a lot of liberal thought is bad and toxic; whenever we hear of people in the Midwest or Texas voting for Trump, we think of them like morons or imbeciles. But if somebody cares about their own self interest, and they vote logically according to what is best for themselves as an individual… Their decision is fully rational and intelligent. Even if that person did not go to college like you… What gives you the right to think that they are stupid or an idiot or a fool?

Tennis: takes skill and practice but no courage
In praise of American football
football: requires courage –> for example, when you’re doing a kick off and there are two parties running at each other full speed… This requires insane courage, I’ll never forget doing this in high school, tackling another guy going full speed ahead, in full battle armor!
Same thing goes with rugby.
I think my critique of soccer is that it requires great skill but not much courage. You need tenacity, endurance and strength, but no courage. There is no real physical penalty to pay besides maybe somebody slide tackling you and you blow out your knee.
I think how American football is scary is that when somebody is charging you 100% full speed, having the courage to go ahead on, forward, and tackle them head on.
Also this is where boxing and fighting MMA takes a lot of courage, because to fight another fighter is always fearful! IrRegardless of how good you are.
