Even for the cheapest base level car, $33k for base Model Y vs $28k for a base level Prius, only a $5,000 USD difference (an iPhone pro for $1500 USD, laptop for $2,500 USD, and other stuff for $1,000)— isn’t the more logical strategy to buy the Model Y?

Or in other words, why would you ever buy a Prius or a Prius Prime if the price difference it between it and a Tesla Model Y is nominal at best?
