The “Ethics” of Meat

Some more theories; I think the reason why people believe eating “too much” meat is a pseudo ethical one;

First, an economics issue. Traditionally in the past, it was very expensive, therefore, one would supplement their diet with mostly cheap grains rice etc.

The funny thing is in today’s world, meat is actually cheaper than vegetables, and adopting this nonsense “plant-based” diet is a trillion times more expensive!

For example, even with inflation, you can get ground beef for about 399 to about 499 a pound. Most people can’t even eat that much meat, you should be able to totally satisfy and feed yourself for less than five dollars a day!

Secondly, I think modern-day consumerism behavior is towards animals, getting pets dogs cats etc.

Third, pseudo virtue singling thing. That irregardless of all this stuff, it is considered to be more pure and virtuous to abstain from meat? Even in the past, there were lots of cults which made it an edict forbidding eating meat. Even the Stoic philosopher Seneca experimented with abstaining from meat, but eventually gave up his vegetarian habits because others started to suspect him up being part of a cult.
