I have this idea for a certain lift; think of a power rack, with the safety pins at the side and on top of it, you put a trap bar, and you rack up weights, and see the maximum amount of weight you are able to lift.
One of the big issues on starting to discover with just doing a standard rack pull, one rep max attempt, with high pins is that using a mixed grip, I think it’s starting to put undue pressure on my elbow joints. If we can adopt a neutral grip, it will be better.
Neutral grip is best achieved with an open hex bar trap bar.
