It is not multitasking which we seek, rather, simply to allow background tasks to continue while we want to do the thing desired.

For example, while I am uploading photos to my WordPress blog media library, I also want to voice dictate out some thoughts on iA Writer, like I am doing now.

This is one of the upsides of doing split screen on the iPad, that you could continue to upload your files while you are doing other things.

Or, the great benefit of using a laptop, in which you can concurrently upload five videos at once, without having to constantly check up on it.
