Aspirational Strength Goals

For us men:

  1. Deadlift— trap bar deadlift. At least 600 pounds and beyond.
  2. Squat: For funsies. Disregard squat depth. Squat as a weight bearing exercise to ultimately build our courage and manliness, and to strengthen our bones and spines to maximize our deadlift.
  3. Benchpress: Just do it on the floor. Don’t use an actual bench. Floor bench press for superior leverage, which means higher weights. Also safer — you cannot drop the weight on you. Also more independent— you don’t need a spotter.
