Lower.

The lower and the closer to the ground, the better. Also, the wider the better.

What are the best car designs? The car that is widest, and lowest to the ground.

Why is this? Simply a matter of physics. The lower, wider, and lighter the car, the better it is at the track and going through turns at high speeds.

From a car design perspective, even Elon Musk knows the lower, and wider, the car is, the more attractive it is. Perhaps humans have a natural design tendency to understand this? For myself, this is why I like Lamborghini cars, because of how low and wide they are. Also new modern cars like the new Lexus IS cars are also taking the design trend, becoming wider and lower to the ground.

With shoes, the closer you are to the ground the better. Ideally the most minimal shoes, on the floor. Zero drop, as little foam as possible.

Also philosophically, perhaps the best is to be as close to the ground as possible. For example, instead of reading the news, just go there, and figure things out for yourself. For example, when Trump was still in office and there was all that nonsense about building the wall, when I was in Mexico City, nobody really talked about it or cared. The news, and social media has a way to distort reality on the ground.

Another example: the lower your bed is to the ground, the better. The more stable it is, and the more comfortable it is to sleep on.

With weightlifting, I’ve also discovered the best thing is when you do lifts with her as close to the ground as possible. For example, the deadlift, as the barbell is already on the ground, and your goal is to hoist it to your waist. If you can’t get it up, you cannot get it up.

And instead of doing bench press with a bench, better to do a floor bench press, to start with the weight on the floor, as it is safer, and more stable. If you do a floor benchpress, and you arch your back, you can actually move more weight, which is the goal.

Also the reason why I really like Korean and Japanese furniture is the tendency to be on the floor. Even as a kid, we just had this really small fold up table that we use as a dining table, in which we just sat on the floor. Compare this with American notions of sitting high on the table, with chairs. Asian people don’t use chairs.
