Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a superior form of fighting compared to more “pure” martial art forms like Tae Kwon Do, boxing, wrestling, etc. Thus shouldn’t we extend this notion — mixed things, hybrid things, mixed people, mixed ideas are better than “pure” or “pure-bred”?
Why “mutts” are stronger than purebred dogs.
Let us consider … the more we mix genetics the better. A simple pure red dog (often created via incest) is weaker than the mixed bred dog (known as a “mutt”).
But the bias:
Why do we think that purebred dogs are “superior” to mutts … when actually physiologically the mutt is stronger, more robust, and superior as a physical specimen?
In praise of mixed race kids
Mixed race kids are better. And let us consider … we are all mixed race. We all eventually come from Africa. There is no such thing as a “pure” race, or a “pure-bred”.
Why purity?
Comes down to social hierarchy. Those on top are the beautiful, chosen. Those on bottom are the ugly, bad, evil.
