Clothing as your color palette

Change your clothes like your paint job. It doesn’t gotta be expensive — ZARA and Uniqlo are always good choices. Or even clothes on Amazon.

Fashion changes how you feel

When I wear different clothes I feel different. It’s fun to play “dress up”. Also more effective to change your wardrobe than doing plastic surgery or buying really expensive new things like cars, homes, watches, and jewelry.

Showing your aesthetics and ethics through your clothing (and social signaling).

If I wear Nike Air Force sneakers, I’m signaling I like hip hop culture. If I wear “all black everything”, I signal that I like minimalist aesthetics. There’s no right or wrong aesthetic — just follow your own taste of what you consider looks good.

To fast fashion or not to fast fashion?

Tricky —

1. No matter how nice the clothes we buy, we will get bored of it (even if it’s very high quality). Also, higher quality clothes are more expensive.
2. Fast fashion looks good, and is cheap. In theory if you get bored of it, you cam donate it or sell it to a thrift store.
3. Fast fashion is far more affordable than more expensive luxury brands, which democratizes fashion. Now anyone can look stylish, regardless of money.
