A thought when walking around today:
Do you love being alive?
Are you living your life in a way in which you suck out the marrow of reality? Where you deify existence, and being alive? Or are you living in a way simply to kill the time, and to live an existence as un-miserably as possible — waiting until you die?
Beyond gratitude
I think for the most part, we are all ‘grateful’ to be alive. I didn’t ask my parents to give birth to me, but they did, and here I am!
The world is your oyster and your play-thing. Given that you are alive, you have resources, you have time, you have energy, you have willpower, and you have consciousness– the question is:
How do I desire to maximally exploit all the positives of existence, and what do I desire to direct my willpower towards doing/creating/achieving?
What do you desire to deify in existence?
As an artist, you select what you decide to deify and deem beautiful, ‘worthy’, and great.
Or as a photographer, you photograph what you have gratitude towards. You photograph what you consider beautiful. As a photographer, you’re a visual philosopher. By selecting your subject and scene, you are signaling importance.
#cindyproject
For example, I love Cindy with all of my soul and being. Having her in my life makes life worth living. Or in other words:
I desire to express the joy and happiness I feel being alive with Cindy through my photographs.
And furthermore, I desire to encourage others to start their own cindyproject. Which means,
Direct more of your artistic powers to photograph or create art-works which show your gratitude towards life, or those who you love.
