Watch Thomas Leuthard (85mm) in action shooting his candid portraits in his first video! Also you can read more about his street photography portrait technique here.
Ohhhhh snap! (literally) – lol
I’m going to attempt Thomas’ technique today.
Very brave! Also a fast focus might come in handy…
Nice reaction! I just wish the video was longer…
Here you can read, how I do it:
Just a great photographer with a photo in mind.
The vid was short but packed quality and a true insight.
What’s with the shutter sound? …
I almost feel sorry for him. He had no idea what happened and I almost cracked up when he looked behind him
Very nice Thomas! I went to your site and read it as well as seeing the second video. Your subjects are looking all around to see what you shot. They are slightly confused but not angry or upset. You make a very good point about shooting in crowds. I noticed in the big city where there are many people or at events or tourist spots all you have to do is single out the interesting people and shoot and no one seems to care. Often they are taking photos themselves. This is the easiest for me as I am new to street photography. It is good to know I chose a wise approach. Thank you for sharing.
