My favorite 20 cities for street photography<\/h2>\n

  1. Tokyo (Shibuya) <\/li>\n
  2. Kyoto (Near the Kamo River) <\/li>\n
  3. Saigon (my favorite city to live and work digitally)<\/li>\n
  4. New York City (Lower East Side) <\/li>\n
  5. San Francisco (the Mission district)<\/li>\n
  6. Dubai (Deira and Gold District)<\/li>\n
  7. Manila<\/li>\n
  8. London (East London, Shoreditch)<\/li>\n
  9. Hanoi (shoot around the Hoan Kiem lake)<\/li>\n
  10. Hong Kong (TST area, where Kai and Digital Rev used to shoot a lot)<\/li>\n
  11. Singapore (Arab street)<\/li>\n
  12. Beirut Lebanon (everywhere; Beirut is probably one of the most underrated cities in the world. They used to call it the Paris of the Middle East for good reason!)<\/li>\n
  13. Berlin (any of the hipster neighborhoods. Also like “Mauer Park” and the flea markets)<\/li>\n
  14. Marseille, France: Shoot near the water (study Yves Vernin, Pierre Belhassen, Francois Constant)<\/li>\n
  15. Lisbon, Portugal (the whole city is amazing)<\/li>\n
  16. Amsterdam (beautiful light)<\/li>\n
  17. Istanbul (near the water, also epic light)<\/li>\n
  18. Vienna (any of the hipster neighborhoods)<\/li>\n
  19. Sydney and Melbourne (both excellent for street photography and light! Study the work of Jesse Marlow, Oggsie, Greg Marsden, Trent Parke)<\/li>\n
  20. Mumbai, India: Study the work of Kaushal Parikh and Swarat Ghosh<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Of course this list isn’t complete, but it’s my favorite places to shoot street photography all around the globe based on the last 10 years I’ve been on the road.<\/p>\n
