1. Isolated person from the chunk (group) of people<\/h2>\n

Take this photo from Henri Cartier-Bresson<\/a> from China. Note how the soldier on the bottom of the frame is isolated from the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153chunk\u00e2\u20ac\u009d of people in the middle of the frame.<\/p>\n

Another photo by Henri Cartier-Bresson<\/a>, note the division of the spectators in the foreground, the cars in the middle ground, and cars in background. Your mind automatically groups, or \u00e2\u20ac\u0153chunks\u00e2\u20ac\u009d these elements together.<\/p>\n

For example, we see the group of people in red as one chunk of people. We then see the cars in yellow as one chunk, and the cars in blue as another chunk.<\/p>\n

\n We differentiate the chunks, via separation and composition.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I like this composition, because you can see the curves<\/a> of the composition.<\/p>\n

Ultimately this is a great photo, because it demonstrates a critique on American mass media and consumerism.<\/p>\n

3. Leading lines<\/a> and chunking<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

You can also use leading lines and chunking.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

For example, on the top of the frame \u00e2\u20ac\u201d you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t see individual trees. Rather, your brain \u00e2\u20ac\u0153chunks\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or groups all the trees as one element. Therefore, you can better identify the leading lines in the trees (triangle) that point to that one solitary figure crossing over.<\/p>\n
