Henri Cartier-Bresson<\/a> was the master of photography composition<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1. Bicycle \/\/ Henri Cartier-Bresson 1932, FRANCE. Hy\u00c3\u00a8res.<\/h2>\n

Use the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153fishing technique<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in street photography \u00e2\u20ac\u201d look for the leading lines<\/a> and wait for your subject to enter the frame where you want them to be.<\/p>\n

In this case, Henri Cartier-Bresson waited until the bicycle entered his frame.<\/p>\n

A great example of the subjects in the far right of the frame (in red), and the surrealism of the image (the two men are overlapped, and thus look like one person).<\/p>\n

Also I like the repeating diagonal<\/a> shapes in the frame, and the atmosphere, and the depth of the scene.<\/p>\n

One of the most surreal pictures from HCB, also note the layers<\/a> of the children in the foreground.<\/p>\n

4. Henri Cartier-Bresson 1932, FRANCE. Marseille.<\/h2>\n

The nice clean background (good figure to ground<\/a>), and the diagonal composition and body positions of the two men. The composition follows the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Golden rectangle<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d quite closely.<\/p>\n

Classic Cartier-Bresson composition, once again with the fishing technique \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and all the beautiful geometric forms which make the frame. Also note, the depth<\/a> of the photo \u00e2\u20ac\u201d the doors which frame the scene as well.<\/p>\n
