  1. When you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re out on the streets, don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t seek to add to the frame, seek to subtract<\/a> from the frame. <\/li>\n
  2. When in doubt, shoot closer<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  3. Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t aim to make good photos, aim to make personal photos that you like. <\/li>\n
  4. Photograph faces in objects you see on the streets.<\/li>\n
  5. Shoot like a child<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u201d whenever you shoot on the streets, treat it like you were seeing the streets for the first time. <\/li>\n
  6. Shoot with your camera in program (P) mode<\/a>, ISO 1600, center point autofocus, so you can focus more on shooting and getting in the zone and not worrying about the settings of your camera. <\/li>\n
  7. Shoot in JPEG<\/a>, don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t worry about processing your RAW photos. It will simplify your shooting and workflow process afterwards. <\/li>\n
  8. Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t upload photos that you personally don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t like. <\/li>\n
  9. When you shoot street photography<\/a> or travel<\/a>, only shoot with one camera and one lens<\/a>, to be less weighed down by your gear, and also less distracted. <\/li>\n
  10. Shoot on the streets with your phone off, or in airplane mode. <\/li>\n
  11. Treat street photography like walking zen meditation \u00e2\u20ac\u201d walk 25% slower than you normally do when you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re on the streets. <\/li>\n
  12. Shoot your own city like you were a tourist\u00e2\u20ac\u201d the best way to find the beauty of your own \u00e2\u20ac\u0153boring\u00e2\u20ac\u009d city. <\/li>\n
  13. Shoot from a child\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s view, shoot from a very low angle<\/a>, crouching very low, like a child, looking up. <\/li>\n
  14. To be more creative, don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t allow yourself unlimited freedom\u00e2\u20ac\u201d give yourself \u00e2\u20ac\u0153creative constraints<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (only shoot one square block from your home, only shoot with one camera and one lens, only shoot black and white<\/a>, or only shoot one subject matter). <\/li>\n
  15. Realize as a photographer, you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re constantly in a state of becoming \u00e2\u20ac\u201d you will never be a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153perfect\u00e2\u20ac\u009d photographer, nor do you desire to become a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153perfect\u00e2\u20ac\u009d photographer. Rather, we seek to be lifelong amateurs; lovers of photography, with a beginners mind. <\/li>\n
  16. When shooting color<\/a>, limit your color palette \u00e2\u20ac\u201d integrate 1-3 primary colors in your frame. Subtract the superfluous and distracting colors. <\/li>\n
  17. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153When in doubt, click.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/li>\n
  18. Give yourself permission to make a million bad photos<\/a>. <\/li>\n
  19. Better to find inspiration from 3 master photographers<\/a>, and get to know their work very very well, than to know the work of 300 photographers superficially. <\/li>\n
  20. Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t just take 1-2 photos of the scene, aim to take many photos of the scene (50-100) to get 1 good photo. <\/li>\n
  21. Integrate active negative space in your frame, to let your subjects breathe. <\/li>\n
  22. When selecting your photos, only pick the photos that are a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153fuck yeah!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t choose lukewarm photos. Also, follow your gut<\/a>, only choose photos that excite you). <\/li>\n
  23. Everyday, treat it like you had no portfolio or past work. This emptiness will allow you to constantly create new photos and new pictures.<\/li>\n
  24. Your goal is to become a master photographer<\/a> \u00e2\u20ac\u201d a master of yourself, your own aesthetics, and your own attitude and approach to photography. <\/li>\n
  25. There are no rules in photography or street photography. Only you create the rules. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
