Why 10 no\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s?<\/h2>\n

In life, we fear getting rejected. This is what holds back our creative potential.<\/p>\n

But what if\u00e2\u20ac\u201d the purpose was to get rejected? How would that empower you?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Would you be able to take more risks in life? Be less fearful? Be more bold and brave\u00e2\u20ac\u201d to pursue the things you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re really interested in life?<\/p>\n

Getting a NO is harder than it seems<\/h2>\n

The thing I love about this \u00e2\u20ac\u015310 no\u00e2\u20ac\u009d street photography assignment is that it makes us realize,<\/p>\n

\n It is really hard to get people to say \u00e2\u20ac\u0153no\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and reject you.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Most people will actually say \u00e2\u20ac\u0153yes\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. Having to hunt down someone to get a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153no\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is actually far more challenging.<\/p>\n

Look for people who you think will reject you<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My suggestion for this assignment:<\/p>\n

\n Try to ask the scariest looking people to make a portrait of them. Keep asking \u00e2\u20ac\u0153scarier\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153scarier\u00e2\u20ac\u009d people.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And as an experiment, try to ask people to make a portrait of them in different ways.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

Try to say \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Do you mind if I take a picture of you?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in a creepy voice. Or say it with confidence. Or instead of saying \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Take a picture\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, say \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Make a portrait\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. Experiment with your phrasing, and see what works best for you.<\/p>\n
