What is the worst-case scenario?<\/h2>\n<p>Vividly imagine the worst-case scenario, and mentally prepare how you are going to respond to it (and realize the worst-case scenario is often not as bad as you imagine it to be).<\/p>\n<p>This is a good <a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/stoicism\/\">Stoic technique<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Related: <a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/stoic-street-photographer\/\">How to Become a Street Photography Stoic<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>2. What doesn&#8217;t kill you makes you stronger:<\/h2>\n<p>Realize that pain, displeasure, and stress is the stimulus to make you stronger. So when shit hits the fan in life, ask yourself: &#8220;How can I use this negative situation as a positive, to make me stronger?&#8221; Or, &#8220;How has this negative situation made me a stronger, more resilient, or more bold person?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Realize that there is a process called &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/gettingstronger.org\/hormesis\/\">hormesis<\/a>&#8216; where a small dose of poison makes you stronger.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, whenever difficulty enters your life (via poison), <strong>think of the poison as beneficial&#8211; and a stimulus to make you stronger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Know what your purpose is in life:<\/h2>\n<p>As photographers and individuals, we were put on earth &#8212; either for a greater purpose (or, we have the chance to dictate our own values). As humans, we are happiest when around others, interacting with others, and helping empower others.
