A combination of the <a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/02\/23\/6-tips-to-integrate-leading-lines-into-your-photography-composition\/\">leading lines<\/a>, the negative space on the right of her which adds more \u00e2\u20ac\u02dc<a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/11\/08\/dynamic-tension-opponent-based-theory-for-photography\/\">dynamic tension<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/11\/02\/dynamic-photography-composition-101-figure-to-ground\/\">figure-to-ground<\/a> component of the white woman against the black background.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2: Draw the lines<\/h2>\n<p>The next step is to draw the lines you see in the image, in terms of the diagonals, the leading lines, and overall 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Step 4: Repetition<\/h2>\n<p>The next step: analyze if your composition has \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcrepetition\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 of forms, such as the repeating of the red pillars in the picture below.<\/p>\n<p>The reason why repetition works compositionally: it adds rhythm to your pictures, and creates a \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcbeat\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 (think of this as a musical analogy). Analyze the proportions of the image<\/h2>\n<p>Note the white boxes below, which segment the picture into different proportions. 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The reason why we want to do this, is to find balance and dynamic tension in your picture. <strong>You can do this yourself to your own pictures by creating rectangle boxes that connect your diagonal lines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Step 6: Abstract your image<\/h2>\n<p>This is where analyzing your images get really fun:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If I can abstract my images to just rectangles, and boxes, what would my picture look like?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is Annette\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first step of abstraction, in the spirit of Piet Mondrian:<\/p>\n<p><img
