The problem with modern times is that we five too much power to our \u00e2\u20ac\u0153rational\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or \u00e2\u20ac\u0153logical\u00e2\u20ac\u009d minds. We no longer trust our gut, instincts, and intuition.<\/p>\n

Steve Jobs<\/a> made some of the biggest Apple innovations by following his gut and intuition. Zen philosophy<\/a> tells us to embrace spontaneity, and follow our gut.<\/p>\n

All great insights and innovations DO NOT come from a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153committee\u00e2\u20ac\u009d of people, sitting down, drawing pie charts, on innovation. No. Real innovation is following your gut, taking a risk, and putting yourself and creation out there.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You are a photographic genius.<\/h2>\n

So in photography, life, and art\u00e2\u20ac\u201d always follow your gut and intuition.<\/p>\n

There are limits to our human knowledge, rational mind, and logic.<\/p>\n

Art, I think, comes from some mysterious inner-workings of our soul, that we will never truly know. Just like the human mind\u00e2\u20ac\u201d the brain is NOT the source of all our intelligence and ego.<\/p>\n

My theory: the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153soul\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or \u00e2\u20ac\u0153mind\u00e2\u20ac\u009d of an individual is HIGHLY EMBEDDED in our body. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m most intelligent when I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m walking, so there must be some intelligence in my feet, legs, and the spirit of locomotion and movement.<\/p>\n

  1. Therefore, to be a better and more creative and inspired photographer, WALK MORE. The more you walk, the more interesting things you will see. And the more you walk, the more creative you are. <\/li>\n
  2. Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t think too much before deciding whether to shoot something or not. JUST SHOOT IT, and then when you go home, decide whether to keep it or not. <\/li>\n
  3. Have fun. Make photos everyday, and build up your visual muscles. You don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want your eyes, visual perception, and creative spirit to become flabby and weak. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
