I suppose one of the good things about Asian, Asian American culture is it has to deal with upward social mobility: study really really hard, get into a good university, become a doctor lawyer engineer etc., And move up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hard thing is if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re a part of a culture, or an environment which doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t encourage this line of thinking, each generation stays in the hood.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Certainly if you grow up in the hood, this is a bad thing.
