ONE.<\/h2>\n

You cannot make money without doing.<\/p>\n

Action is the key to success.<\/p>\n

Things I do in terms of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153marketing\u00e2\u20ac\u009d to (eventually) make money:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Publish blog posts. <\/li>\n
  2. Publish YouTube videos. <\/li>\n
  3. Publish books. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How I make money in photography:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Teaching workshops \/ curating photography experiences (80% income)<\/li>\n
    2. Selling HAPTIC products like STRAPS, BOOKS, PRINTS (made by CINDY), (20% Income)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Two.<\/h2>\n

      Value is created through motion.<\/p>\n

      When I write on this iPad for a blog post, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m just moving my fingers and touching a glass screen.<\/p>\n

      When I teach a workshop, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m moving my mouth, hands, and legs.<\/p>\n

      When Cindy makes a product, she collaborates with artisans, moving her fingers on her laptop or phone, and eventually using her hands to package, quality check, and ship the products.<\/p>\n

      All \u00e2\u20ac\u0153value\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is created through movement.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Three.<\/h2>\n

      You want to dream big and think big. But thinking by itself (without action) is useless.<\/p>\n

      I used to be a self help junkie. But now I just read philosophy. Nietzsche on his \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Will to power\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is a good motivator and source of ideas.<\/p>\n

      Essentially all \u00e2\u20ac\u0153power\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in life is from action, from DOING.<\/p>\n

      Key to success:<\/p>\n

      \n Be a DOER, not a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153thinker.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

      It is easy for anyone to come up with ideas. But to take risks, have skin in the game, put your reputation and money on the line, is what makes a real entrepreneur.<\/p>\n

      Four.<\/h2>\n

      Think long term. Make lots of experiments.<\/p>\n

      If you made 10 mini experiments a day, won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t at least 1 of these mini experiments be good?<\/p>\n

      If in a week, you make 70 mini experiments, one will probably work.<\/p>\n

      Everyday, make small experiments in your business and life and art.<\/p>\n

      Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t call it as a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153failure\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, call it an \u00e2\u20ac\u0153experiment\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and you will take more risks, and do more cool shit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Five.<\/h2>\n

      I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been doing small random experiments. Some examples:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Photo cubism <\/li>\n
      2. Tracing Picasso paintings <\/li>\n
      3. Studying logo design <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Whenever I study, and feel inspiration, I analyze, and publish. I do more.<\/p>\n

        So I ain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t just Nike with \u00e2\u20ac\u0153JUST DO IT.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

        Rather I believe,<\/p>\n

        \n DO MORE.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

        Six.<\/h2>\n

        The more you do, the more chances you have of success.<\/p>\n

        The more you publish to your blog, the more likely one will go viral.<\/p>\n

        The more times you swing the bat, the more likely you are to hit a home run.<\/p>\n

        The more people you ask on dates, the more likely one will say yes.<\/p>\n

        The more you shoot street photography, the more likely you are to get a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153keeper\u00e2\u20ac\u009d photo that makes you excited.<\/p>\n

        Seven.<\/h2>\n

        Treat life like a scientist, or a kid with chemicals. Fuck around, blow shit up, have fun.<\/p>\n

        Never stop tinkering and experiment.<\/p>\n
