1. Shoot a lot.<\/h2>\n

The more you shoot, the more lucky you will get in street photography.<\/p>\n

If you want to hit a home run, do you want to get 1000 pitches or just 10 pitches?<\/p>\n

The more you shoot and the more often you shoot, the more stuff you will see. The more \u00e2\u20ac\u0153decisive moments\u00e2\u20ac\u009d you will encounter. And the more you can be hit with inspiration, serendipity, and a chance of making a good street photo.<\/p>\n

2. Use your viewfinder<\/h2>\n

Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t shoot from the hip (technique of not looking at the viewfinder). The more you use your viewfinder the more confidence you will have. Also the better your compositions, because you will frame more accurately.<\/p>\n

If your camera doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have a viewfinder, use the LCD screen.<\/p>\n

Also after you photograph someone, smile, and say \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Thank youIf you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re in North Korea, then shoot from the hip.<\/p>\n

Another tip: keep your camera to your eye, and hold it for 30 seconds after<\/em> you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve shot a scene to be more discrete.<\/p>\n

3. Take more chances<\/h2>\n

The more risks you make in street photography, the more chance for reward.<\/p>\n

Risky ideas:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Photograph someone who scares you.<\/li>\n
  2. Ask for permission of someone who you think might say no.<\/li>\n
  3. Take two steps closer.<\/li>\n
  4. Experiment with more dynamic and edgy compositions. Intentionally tilt your camera, aka the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Dutch angle.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    4. Have more fun<\/h2>\n

    Street photography should be fun. If it isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t, you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re doing it wrong.<\/p>\n

    To have more fun in street photography:<\/p>\n

    1. Go down different routes. Never go down the same path twice. Add randomness and chaos to your shooting.<\/li>\n
    2. Smile and laugh while you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re shooting. If you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re having a good time, you will spread positive vibes and feel more confident.<\/li>\n
    3. Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t take your street photography too seriously: Living a creatively fulfilling life is more important than making good photos. Never forget.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
