Reasons why I like BAUHAUS:<\/p>\n

  1. Emphasis on clean lines and shapes.<\/li>\n
  2. Emphasis on diagonal lines; more dynamic.<\/li>\n
  3. Clean, bold, colors.<\/li>\n
  4. Powerful design, yet understated.<\/li>\n
  5. Less is more.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    What can photographers learn FROM BAUHAUS?<\/h2>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    For photographers, we often have little cross disciplinary studies in art.<\/p>\n

    Much modern art influences us. Steve Jobs loves Bauhaus and you can see traces in Apple products and marketing materials.<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    Much of modern architecture is influenced by the German Bauhaus school, which focused on architecture, typography, even costumes, poster design, and illustrations.<\/p>\n

    I feel we can seek to simplify our photos. Use bold and clean colors. More diagonal lines. And to use a grid system, to make better proportions in images.<\/p>\n

    Above all, experiment<\/strong>. Bauhaus was about fighting convention. We should too.<\/p>\n
