Dear friend,<\/p>\n

If you knew your iPhone battery was only at 5% left \u00e2\u20ac\u201d what would you do and not<\/em> do with your remaining charge?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I. Life is a smartphone battery<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The analogy is that your iPhone battery is your life.<\/p>\n

When our iPhone batteries are at 5% \u00e2\u20ac\u201d we go into panic mode. We turn off the wifi; we go into airplane mode.<\/p>\n

We don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t dick around on social media, or check our email.<\/p>\n

Rather, we conserve our charge and battery, to make sure that we need it for an emergency \u00e2\u20ac\u201d like calling your partner, kids, friend, or having enough battery to call an Uber to go home.<\/p>\n

II. What would you not do with your life charge?<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What if you woke up today, and you knew that your life was only at 5% left? What would you do and not<\/em> do in life?<\/p>\n

For me, if I knew my life was only at 5% left\u00e2\u20ac\u201d I would not desire superfluous material things. I would settle with the tools, clothes, and material things I already own \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and not desire anything else.<\/p>\n

I would not try to \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcoptimize\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 my life\u00e2\u20ac\u201d to have the best<\/em>. Rather, to be happy with what I already have (contentment) \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and rather using all my energy, power, and will in empowering others.<\/p>\n

III. Never stop empowering others.<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My philosophy: settle with the tools you have (your car, home, clothes, camera, phone, laptop, tablet), and rather\u00e2\u20ac\u201d never settle with your creative work.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That means, treat everyday like you were at 5%. Turn off your wifi. Go into airplane mode. Focus on creation. Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get distracted by anything that isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t important to you.<\/p>\n

IV. It is good to feel panic.<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This is a better analogy than \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcliving everyday like it were your last.\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Because I have no idea what that means.<\/p>\n

But I know the panic I feel when my phone is only at 5% battery. And I feel that panic is what drives me. The panic that my life is short, that no matter what technology advancements we have, I will die. And it is my duty to die as a human being.<\/p>\n

But while I still have that precious 5% charge left\u00e2\u20ac\u201d let me give my juice to others.<\/p>\n

And in life, there is no charging cable or external battery pack.<\/p>\n
