Create a photo project of all your screenshots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I see the screenshot as the new form of &#8216;meta-art&#8217;. That is &#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>When you screenshot something, it is like you&#8217;re shooting a photo of it \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 but it is a &#8216;meta&#8217; photo of something.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because if you think about it, when you photograph something, you elevate it, you honor it. By screenshotting something, you signal its importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Something I did was in &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2022\/05\/12\/the-devil-is-in-the-details-3\/\">the devil is in the details<\/a>&#8216;, I just looked through my WordPress library of all my photos labeled &#8216;screenshot&#8217;, and just made a little mini gallery and series of all the photos I screenshotted the details I found interesting in my photos. Perhaps you can do the same and upload it to your own blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Rust, patina, beautiful decay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also consider <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2022\/05\/12\/photography-is-my-painting\/\">photography to be my painting<\/a>. What this means is that I LOVE seeing rust, patina, decay, and other &#8216;wabi sabi&#8217; details (wabi sabi means something becomes more beautiful as it ages).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This gives us much creative leeway as photographers, because it means that we can approach photography abstractly. Photography ceases to be about clarity &#8212; it becomes more about emotion, mood, and your soul you impute into your photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shoot more photos (macro, high contrast black and white) or just photos in general which highlight and focus shapes, forms, tones, rust, textures, grit and grain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Study all forms of design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2017\/12\/03\/what-photographers-can-learn-from-car-design\/\">Car design<\/a>, architecture, home design, shoe\/sneaker design, any type of design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reason is that we can &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2018\/06\/28\/why-photographers-should-study-car-design\/\">cross pollinate<\/a>&#8216; much when it comes to studying other forms of design. If we consider that <a href=\"https:\/\/erickimphotography.com\/blog\/2022\/05\/04\/photographers-are-designers-2\/\">photographers are designers<\/a>, then it means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Study <em>ALL<\/em> design.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All design or any design which inspires you is good design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.
