The worst type of design is that which is a compromise. For example a lot of the low-end Mercedes cars seems like a compromise, moving Mercedes away from the luxury segment, into the mass market, like BMW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, iPhone SE is a compromise. As much as I love the ethos of it, the old hardware of the phone does not play well with the new software iOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is where Leica<\/a> is actually very intelligent: increasing the functionality of their Leica M camera, and making it more expensive, and thus more exclusive. Leica camera will do well, as long as it belongs in that elite segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus the takeaway is that one should never compromise one\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ethos of design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
